The Motorcycle Union of Ireland Ulster Center approached me about moving all their in person seminars online for both riders and officials. To achieve this I used the same system I had previously used with the NSPCC Safe Guarding Training course, Moodle. Each year riders and officials must complete a refresher training course. Previously this was done over several weekends in different locations. Once the online system became available it could be done from the comfort of their own home and in their own time.
The courses were split into sections with mandatory tasks to complete before the user would be aloud to proceed to the next task. One example of this is the user would have to complete and pass a quiz after each section to prove they have read and understood the seminar. At the end of the course they would receive a certificate which would be emailed to them and the license registrar automatically.
