Stomp Parts is a small to medium size business based on the outskirts of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Operating mainly as an ecommerce business through their website and eBay sales channels they supply parts for pit bikes, quads and more worldwide.
The main issue they were experiencing with their current website was the usability from both a retail and trade point of view. Users were finding it difficult to find the products they need and trade users had requested an option to see their previous orders and invoices.
After an initial meeting with the business, it was decided that a full review into the website should be carried out and assess what the user needs where. With the age of the current website and the issues it had been experiencing with performance, it was also decided that this would be the right time to perform a complete new build.

User Needs
and Problems
Meetings with the customers – Two types of customers were identified for this project, retail and trade. After going through a series of questions we identified 6 main points which need to be satisfied in this project.

Target Audience
Meeting with the business – It is important to make sure we know who will be using this website and that we design it accordingly. One of the biggest issues was the currency, more customers were coming from outside of the UK and it was important that they could see what each product cost in their currency.
How will we measure success?
Business objectives – The main objective for the business was to increase sales to America. Other objectives were to increase the speed of the website both in loading times and in the dispatch times.
